Here is a collection of things that I called Fun Finds. Hopefully, a few of them inspire you to travel to unique destinations that, until now, you might not even have know they existed.
Largest Cross in North America
On a recent road trip, my family and I drove past a magnificent site just north of Branson, Missouri. For miles, we saw it on the horizon as we approached it. At 214 feet, it’s the largest cross in North America and the 5th largest in the world! Construction was complete in 2019 by a man who simply had a vision and made it happen.

Synchronous Fireflies
Every year in late May/early June, fireflies put on a magical show in the Smoky Mountains. Hundreds of thousands of them flash in sync as part of a mating ritual. This event is something seen in only a few places in the world, so park passes are hard to come by. Visitors win them via a lottery system.

Yosemite Firefall
I always imagined I’d visit Yosemite National Park in the summertime. But after hearing about the “Firefall” I’m thinking February may be a great time to go since it allows the opportunity to see this awesome view! It’s a rare natural phenomenon that happens for only about two weeks a year when the setting sun causes light to hit the waterfall at just the right angle.

Infinity Ice Skating Rink
I love the innovative design of this ice skating rink at the Superior Shores Resort in Two Harbors, MN. Can’t you just imagine an evening of fun here with your friends and family?!
